G'day @cyph3r and welcome to linux.org

This thread is 2 years old and you have a different model.

Find your way to the Linux Audio/Video subforum and start your own thread there.

Good luck

This is great! However my microphone isn't working. Prior to running these scripts it was working I just couldn't hear audio through the speakers. Now the speakers are working but the microphone isn't. Anyone else have the same problem? I'm on the
ZenBook Pro Duo UX582LR_UX582LR

Ideas on how to fix this? FYI I"m a Linux noob.

Thanks
Hello cyph3r,

I had the following working on a UX582LR. Commands are similar, values are different. The above works well for me too though, so I don't know which command set is better for me.
sudo hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x20 0x500 0xf
sudo hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x20 0x400 0x7774
sudo hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x20 0x500 0x45
sudo hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x20 0x400 0x5289
I got them from here :
What does not work for me yet is to switch to jack-mic when a headset is plugged in. Sound out switches correctly to the headset, but active mic remains the PC mics.
