I didn't get errors when I thought I Validated files. Which is not the same as getting the screen you show. EGads Im glad you inserted that!!!. I had been out of RZ for a few hours playing with LM on the stick so needed to rebooted back into RZ. While I stumbled around in the file structure (in RZ), what you wrote at the end of your last thread came home. When RZ validated the backup, "sfdisk partition tble is present"....included in the Verification Summary ?
You said: "Keep the two usb sticks....rescuezilla and Linux Mint....they will come in handy. Dont try to put anything else on them."
It took quite awhile to sort. Yes, I'm taking a long time when working in File - It almost looks like it should be as wasy as Windows Explorer but oh so very not (yet). A couple of reboots later the light goes on. You are talking 2 USB sticks and I have 3. My backups are on a separate stick from RZ. Just my inturpertation of an on-line tut. Got too much info that didn't make any sense.
Also this "pause" made me aware of a couple of other things. Make a new LinuxMint boot stick and update to LM 22. (was LM21) Also, I have a 64GB stick to create a RZ and still have room for a few Ubuntu archives.
With what I've learned in the past day (RZ & LM, etc) I'm on overload, so it will not hurt to clean up and then move forward. Could use the practice without the drama. BUT i'm filing away your story of needing to do a "Boot Repair"
Your question about leaving Ubuntu and adding LM to the MiniPC. First thought as I mentioned before - not liking dual-boot. Well, haven't wanted to put LM on a stick to play and eval, either. 18 months ago from what I read it was going to be Off Microsoft on to LinuxMint. Got hardware with Ubuntu and could have stayed with that (so happy not looking at Microsoft).
Now after using RZ and seeing the doors it can open and playing with LN21 on a stick - something I thought I would never do... either way is possible - I decide when the time comes.
LM22 a good move?
Just now noticed your signature ... Outback, AU... I'm writing from the AZ-USA high desert. Bout a mile high and only 40 miles to gas and groceries - so we are not really "Outback" just more like "Out" of the city.
