The Vim Text Editor

I see that vim has a pretty big learning curve, yet there are a lot of things that require much fewer keystrokes if you understand how to use it. It has such a wierd methodology compared to pretty much everything else you understand as just a notepad user, that's really the catch with using vim. I personally like the way vim's ability to open multiple files is set up, but if i were to start wanting to use vim it would still take me a while to get comfortable with using the right sequences of commands to make edits.
 


And literally less painful than extending both of my pinkies, to reach for the default, alternative escape keybind ctrl [.
This is probably the most practical way to use vim given how you are supposed to navigate with it quickly, the esc key goes really far out of the way.
