Ugly hacks are sometimes my favorites and this one is of no use to you unless you've got a gdebi issue. Also, it tells you about gdebi for those who don't know.
It's a really limited scope article and I didn't know if I should bother sharing, but here we are. It's one of the many (intended) pages on my site that are supposed to be used by people coming from search engines with specific problems.
Side note, for anyone considering doing the same thing, I've found it's easier to write articles and schedule them. It seems to remove the pressure of writing for immediate release and I've been able to do an article every other day for a while now.
And, the newsletter is in fact working again.

One of my favorite software installation tools (when using Aptitude) is a little number known as gdebi. It makes installing applications with a .deb a very painless and rapid process. On top of that,
