Take it with a grain of salt, and I have not checked out all the news source references here, but if alternative viewpoints to balance out the questionable mainstream media is what you want, check out Eluxe as a starting point. Just FYI. There are no favorites here.

when i was in Ghana I really enjoyed the BBC World Service ; summary of news and extras such as interviews with Henry kissinger . Back in the U.k its not that easy to access
World service unless its at some odd time on the radio via radio 4.

Expecting to fly back out , we have no TV , only mobile rubbish wifi dongle and not much t o go to. So alternatives always welcome .

It takes a lot fo effort for humans to approach being completely balanced and objective. Passions and personal viewpoints, not to mention corporate viewpoints, always influence HOW news is reported. You don't like what you watch? Your own life viewpoints enter into that judgement.
