I tidied up and moved the article about which distro is the 'best' distro. It needed to be done and it seemed like a good time to do it.

The old link will continue to work - it'll 301 redirect to the new article (once I go change it).

I did the LFS and BLFS a while back (we're talking like five+ years ago, I think) and man it was a pain in the arse.
 
I've never done anything with LFS, I found it more if you wanted to understand what goes into creating your own Linux distribution and to get an idea of what the developers of all current Linux distributions go through each time they have to package updates or minor or major release versions.
 
It was very educational, but more work than necessary. I can easily find a dozen ready-made distros that work well enough for me. I can take most any distro out there and turn it into something that works for me.
