I am totally new to all of this. I have a Asus G75V running Windows 7. I want to learn how to use Python on Linux and I need help installing it the right way. If anyone could help me that would be great. I would like some kind of instructions

It all depends on what distro you want and whether you want to keep windows running on your computer. I would recommend ubuntu or OpenSuse.
