Hi,
I have trouble booting up my PopOS installation (yes I have a backup ). Worked fine this morning but after coming home I booted up my PC, entered my cryptsetup passphrase and shortly after that I saw the login-manager but after entering the pw I got stuck with a black screen. I was not able to enter a tty or do anything than hardware reset. Since then, my System doesnt get to the cryptsetup screen. After selecting Pop in grub I get stuck with a black screen. If I select recovery mode and after that "normal boot" it boots up "normal" but without the amdgpu driver but "llvmpipe (LLVM 12.0.1, 128 bits)" (taken from the "about" page of the system settings.
After removing quiet nosplash from the grub options I can see the system stopping with the following message:
fb:0 switching to amdgpu from VESA VGA
Any ideas how to approach this? Never really had big problems with ATI cards till now :/
I found this: but I am a bit hesitant about compiling from git and copying around system files from unknown tutorials
