Shame it doesn't tell me what BIOS you have.:(

1. Try following the instructions that poorguy posted for you.

2.If that fails I would give HP a call and get a rep to help you get into the BIOS and disable the secure boot.

The immediate solution to an Nvidia problem on install is append
nomodeset
to the kernel boot line - 99.999% of the time. Once installed, use your distro's driver manager to help determine, find, and if possible install the CORRECT Nvidia driver. The rest of the time (0.001%) the Nvidia card is either too new and not yet supported, or too old and support has been dropped. The Nouveau driver is not bad, and will get you through the install and into usefulness, but after that you need to find the correct driver for the card.
