Ubuntu Unity

Ubuntu Unity is a remix of Ubuntu featuring the Unity7 desktop environment (the default desktop environment used by Ubuntu from 2010-2017).

People either seem to love it or hate it.

That looks like the same Unity desktop that miserably failed when they made it the default DE for the Ubuntu desktop edition for a while.

It is now being developed by a independent developer. It's version 7.6 so has been update a bit. But basically it is the same DE.
I'm not a great fan, but thought there may be some interest in it. Some people loved it and they were disappointed when Ubuntu dropped it.

Indeed, Unity had a lot of (or at least some very vocal) fans when it was dropped.

I wonder how many of them cared enough to migrate to this version?
