If I plug a keyboard into the computer by using USB to host does linux automatically detect the midi?
If more clarity is needed.... I had a digital piano that had midi in/out. I ran a midi cable to an Audiobox interface. Looking to buy the same piano, but they changed the design and it now has USB to host instead of midi connections. If I bypass the Audiobox and just run the printer style usb cable straight across, is that plug and play?
I know that there are drivers available for windows, and from what I've researched it seems that linux has usb/midi built in.
Will jack give see the keyboard?
