Greetings and salutations everyone. I am relatively new to Linux anything and had a couple of questions about it. I will include a brief summary of my PC below in case anyone has any known issues that would be presented.

1. How well does Linux work with programs installed on a separated HD, (EX: Steam, Battlenet, Old Republic, etc.) that are linked to the desktop currently.?

2. I am currently running Windows 7 and want to switch over with as few headaches as possible. What does the hardware usage look like comparatively? (IE: GB of RAM used for the operating system, etc)
