yep use one very similar to that script myself had forgotten about it, it was so long ago.
I'm not advocating using .run files but there are times that it is still needed. Nvidia driver can be one of those times
The whole problem with Nvidia could be solved if they were just more open source friendly.. I know that they have made progress in the last few years though.
