Hello All,
Hope this is the right place to post this.
I bought an Asus netbook a few weeks ago and dumped Win 10 and immediately installed Linux Mint 19.2 Tina.
Everything works fine except for one thing - the installed webcam. It does not show up in Devices, Computer or any place except Skype.
Here's the info on the machine:
VivoBook ASUS Laptop X510QA-F510QA
Kernel: 4.15.0-66-generic x86_64 bits
Desktop MATE 1.22.0
I don't remember how I got this info but it describes the webcam:
*-usb:2
description: Video
product: USB2.0 VGA UVC WebCam
vendor: Azurewave
physical id: 4
bus info: usb@1:1.4
version: 16.01
serial: 0x0001
capabilities: usb-2.00
configuration: driver=uvcvideo maxpower=500mA speed=480Mbit/s
If there is any info that I have left out, please let me know and I will poke around to find it.
Thanks in advance.
TC
