Hi, my name is Stan, and you can call me Stan. ;)

Mine came from the game Dungeon and Dragons back in the late 1970s use to play it when I went into the Air Force back then
Nice coincidence... I was USAF from January 1978 - January 1982. I also got into DnD at my first tech school, but I never played again after that. A lot of good times though.

Long time ago I use M.offspring.R, M and R are initials of my first and last name and, offspring mention to punk/rock band. After that, I change to MacgyverPT... Macgyver was my TV "Hero" and PT is from my country... Portugal! Maybe I change very soon

I am a bit late but never mind
I started around the age of seven helping my dad by cutting and Rubbing special brick shapes to make repairs at a local hospital,..move on I went to collage and trained as a building technician but never fitted in with general site work, so i started working for a building materials supply company, with my upbringing I fell into the construction materials side mainly bricks, after several job swaps [and a few years practice] I had built a reputation with architects, listed building inspectors, the national trust, English heritage [and some government departments not to be mentioned] to supply matching materials for their buildings I specialised in those built from 1540 to 1900 [and arts & craft], when anyone phoned where I worked they usually asked to speak to the brickman or the brickwizard..so brickwizard it is

Your screen name reminded me of Lego bricks, and being that there some people who have had fun and lucrative careers building elaborate Lego sets, that would've been cool if that was your career path. At least you found a different career you enjoyed instead. If you have any grand kids and they have the assorted Legos, maybe you could inspire them to become professional Lego builders.

we have one teenage granddaughter, she ia not interested in toys, vidio games, or anything like that , she is a sporty one if I had to list all the sports she has done, I would be here till tomorrow, suffice to say her favorites are ice hockey [she played defense then moved up to the front, shooting, archery and this sunday she takes part in her first tae-kwon-do competition [its been delayed for 18 months through C19] not the American WTF version but UTF as taught by the founder of the original sport, Gen.Choi

Ouch... hope you are okay! I got a joy ride in a C-130 once during a Team Spirit exercise in Korea. I had a ground assignment at Osan AB for a little over 2 years, but we were closely associated with the U2, so it remains as one of my most favorite planes. Many of my friends were crew members on RC-135's... including the guy who taught me DnD back at tech school. He was killed in a RC-135 crash in Shemya, Alaska in March 1981. :(

Heh! Mine too! That and the system I was using back then would only allow like 5 or 6 characters for a username. Amusingly, that was actually plenty of username characters for all the users. So, mine got abbreviated. I've been using it ever since, though I guess you could have read the first post.

Also, it's good to see this thread rising to the top again. It's a thread where everyone can participate, even if it is off-topic. I think these threads are good for the cohesive community. Well, obviously I think that or I'd not do it!

I like Old Timer pocket knives.

I prefer the original Old Timer knives made by Schrade Walden.

When I was a young boy my dad gave me first pocket knife along with the riot act about owning a pocket knife.

The knife my dad gave me was an Old Timer Brand three blade jackknife which I still have.

Some history about Old Timer knife company.
