Hello!

So I need to white list the IPs from the attached photo. Those IPs are from cPanel staff.

They say they can't connect. The port number 22 is correct, which means their IPs are blocked.

Why? The support from host told me to update the IPs from the vps, not from the control panel of the host.

Thank you!

What firewall are you using on your vps?

I am using ufw firewall.

//EDIT: I actually added them in the photo from the main topic, but they still tell me they can't connect....

I haven't used ufw but according to what I read, it should be something like this.
Code:
ufw allow in 22 from x.x.x.x

I used:
Code:
sudo ufw allow from IP
And still does not work for them...

Is there maybe a network service group at the host level that you may need to open up as well? Can you list ufw rules to see if they're getting applied? How did you add your IP to connect?

I did not add my ip to login, I just simply login...

Those are the IPs that I have to add:
Code:
184.94.197.2 - cPanel Houston Office
184.94.197.3 - cPanel Houston Office
184.94.197.4 - cPanel Houston Office
184.94.197.5 - cPanel Houston Office
184.94.197.6 - cPanel Houston Office
208.74.123.98 - cPanel Houston Office

I just added a photo with all the rules.

Just as a test stop ufw and see if they can connect then, if they still can't connect then the problem isn't on your vps.

I disabled ufw and it is the same.
Are you able to hop on another network and try to connect from there? Maybe your phone has a hotspot you can hop on?
What is the name of application on Android so I can connect from my smartphone?
Thank you!
