Hi
I am a Newbie who just installed Xubuntu 12.04.3 LTS on a hp6120nc which previously had XP pro.
Everything is brilliant EXCEPT NO system sounds or startup sounds. However, sound works when it comes to playing music or watching videos. I have trawled all over the web including ubuntu and xfce forums but have found NO CLEAR way or instructions to fix it. Please, some one help and direct me to the right place or provide me with a solution.
