Well it has been over 24 hours and it is still with me, must be love.

24 hours? I change Debian every other release, I'm planning to go from 11 to 13 when it comes out, I will have run this installation for nearly 6 years

Whatever floats your boat, I have settled with Mint LMDE on my office machine, and LMDE or parrot 6 on my main Lappy [the old ones still running 32 bit offerings till support ends] It is not important what distro you choose to use, the fact it's not Windows is great.
