Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, priorities
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
FAN | 33 kB 00:00
http://www.fullyautomatednagios.org/FAN/repository/2.4/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno -1] Error importing repomd.xml for FAN: Damaged repomd.xml file
Trying other mirror.
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: FAN. Please verify its path and try again

and this the same for yum install/upgrade, if you have an Idea thank you to take time to answer !

Sorry for this english by the way...

I'm afraid that Centos 5 reached end of life (EOL) in 2017 That means your server is at extreme security risk and I suppose by now the repositories have been taken down. You will need to upgrade to a newer version or different Linux Distro to continue.

Yep I agree CentOS 5 is dead need to upgrade - even Centos 8 EOL is at the end of this year - take a look at at Rocky Linux - https://rockylinux.org/ Rocky Linux is led by Gregory Kurtzer, founder of the CentOS project.

yeah I'm agree with you guys but I can't uprgade it or not now but it's ok I just deal with an other server.

So yum is not broken but the CentOS 5 repos are offline so yum has no sources to install from.
