Kinda a distro?

Hello. I really want to make my own linux distribution, even if it's just something with gnome and vim on it. I asked people before, and they told me to start with arch. I have almost no experience, neither on building a distro, neither on arch. I do not want it to be LFS, too complex. I think of a combo consisting of Arch + GNOME + GRUB + some packages. I will install this combo, and make an iso out of it, configure a simple installer, etc. Can somebody help me/guide me through?


P.S i will build it on virtual box, because i cant install any system on my host right now
