Good Morning
I would like to know your opinion if it would be a good thing for me to leave Windows 7 and go to Linux on this notebook of mine.
In addition to this image data, my notebook has a SIS Mirage 3 card.
Use only for jobs with Word, Excel, etc.
If it is a good idea to exit Windows 7, which version of Linux do you recommend?

generally what i suggest is that you put a linux operating system , which are available as iso's on to a usb stick. Then you have that attached to your PC and "choose" to boot from that usb. You will have the advantage get an idea of how linux works with your hardware and no dis-advantge of having done anything to your PC at that stage. There are a few steps to do ...

Windows 7 is no longer supported so putting Linux on your notebook would be a good thing.
That way you will still get some more use out of your pc.

Looking at the specs of your notebook you have a Pentium 2 ghz processor and it's a 32-bit machine so I recommend a lightweight distro.

You could install Peppermint on your notebook.
Just make sure you select the '32'-bit download .iso.

Antix is another choice too.

You could go with Puppy Linux.:)
I recommend Bionic Pup 8.0 or Xenial Pup 7.5.
I've tried both on a Live CD and Puppy Linux has a nice GUI.

The OP's screenshot shows that Windows is 32-bit, not his CPU. The Pentium T4200 is 64-bit. See here for details from Intel.

I agree with a lightweight distro because of only 3GB of RAM, but a 64-bit Linux would be preferred and gives many more distro options.

Peppermint, Linux Lite, Lubuntu, and Zorin Lite should all run fairly well.

Thanks.
That screenshot is in another language and I thought it was a 32 bit machine.

I couldn't find Linux Lite available in 32 bit could you?

Like many others, they have quit making a 32-bit version. Their download page (near the bottom) says:

There will be no 32bit ISO from Series 4.x onwards. If you still need to run a 32bit operating system, our Series 3.x is supported until April, 2021. Download it from here.

LINUX LITE

Be Aware.
You said "Use only for jobs with Word, Excel, etc."

All Linux OS's use Libre Office. (Microsoft programs do not run in Linux)

Do some research about Libre....It is very good.

The only issue I would have with FreeOffice is their liberal representation with

FreeOffice is a complete Office suite with a word processor, a spreadsheet application and a presentation program

That is not a complete suite. A complete suite has 5 - 6 components such as MS Office does, Libre Office and Apache's Open Office.

For example, LO has

Base

Calc

Draw

Impress

Math and

Writer
