I updated linux mint 20.3 using the update manager and had problems resolving. I got a message saying I have 6 broken packages. And it said to use the "broken" package tool? I Is this going to require me to remove or fix? I've searched for "broken package" and I have come up with nothing.
Thanks for your help

from the terminal try the following sequence

sudo apt update && sudo apt --fix-broken install
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt update && apt upgrade
sudo apt autoremove

Brickwizard, I think I did it correctly. It says the following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required. Thanks

That's fine, it means either old or superseded dependencies or it could be progs needed to run the update and are no longer needed, always worth running autoremove after an update

You can also go to...Synaptic Package Manager...Edit...Fix Broken Packages.
