Hi! I want to switch from windows 11 to Linux for daily use. I am also programmer and developer, so it's ok If there would be a lot of terminal. I want a distro that would have a lot better performance than windows and also good look, like KDE Plasma. I used kali linux for a while and I liked it, but I want a distro for daily use. I tried fedora live and didn't like it. Can you please suggest me something?

P.S Sorry for my english:D

Hello gabpon,

Just pick a distro that appeals to you and create a bootable media and give it a test drive.

Keep in mind while test driving as a live session the distros will not be as fast as if installed onto a hard drive or SSD.

Welcome to Linux.org forum.

I'll try linux Mint:)

That's a good choice. The GUI functionality will be familiar enough for you to figure it out.

Don't be afraid to break things. You can learn to fix them - and it'll teach you how to make good backups.
