How to write my own bootloader to boot a linux kernel?

Hello everyone.
This is my first time to ask for your help.
I need to write a bootloader for a linux kernel ,and when loading the kernel ,the screen should display a picture.
I just learnt a little bit assembly but not enough.
Would you please help me?
