I have no knowledge of Linux but am considering installing it. I've just bought an Acer chromebook and a Canon ts5151 printer. Canon do not supply drivers to Chromebook so I'm unable to print, but can on my Android. If I install Linux, could this problem be resolved. I welcome any answers 'for Dummies'. AnThank you.

Hi and welcome to the forum! :)

Don't know if there are any answers "for Dummies" to do what you want to but googling a bit might give you some results, like these:

https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-install-linux-on-your-chromebook
https://itsfoss.com/install-linux-chromebook/
https://www.howtogeek.com/162120/how-to-install-ubuntu-linux-on-your-chromebook-with-crouton/

Hope this helps! :)

You could try a Live Linux DVD and see if it see's your printer.
