Some nights ago, I was installing programs (vlc, dolphin emu, virtual-box) via the software manager, trying to get a ps5 controller to bluetooth connect to the computer without a cable. These basically appear regardless of weather I'm trying to get into the install on my NVME ssd, or a live USB.

A screenshot may have been better....very hard to see what is in the pic

Uploaded individual screenshots of what appears.....Would running 'boot repair' from a live USB be of anyhelp?

It appears you have the disk encrypted (I have no experience here) - did you enter the password?

... and welcome to linux.org

This looks like normal boot up stuff to me - I do see as @wizardfromoz says you do have encryption on your drive and I am assuming you enter the password after photo 1 and before photo 2 - is that correct?

Have a look at your grub file located /etc/default/grub and look for this line

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"

If yours is different and says "splash" without the quiet in front of it this is why you are seeing all that stuff booting up - to make that go away if you choose to make your line like the above

so to edit it that would be sudo gedit /etc/default/grub - I believe Mint uses gedit for the text editor if not just change where it says gedit to whatever text editor Mint uses

As far as pairing your PS5 have a look here - https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/bluetooth-device-specific-pairing.html.en

I also see from your inxi report - "Message: No sensor data found. Is lm-sensors configured?" Have a look at this guide - https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SensorInstallHowto

So, to edit, you would make the line look like the below

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"

and then click on Save

then exit

and then run :

Code:
sudo update-grub
