Wi-Fi adapter on Kali Linuxx

Greetings,
I have a homework assignment and I am trying to get the Kali Linux VM to connect to the wifi adapter. However when I go into network settings it says there is no adapter available. I have configured the VM setings to Bridged Adapter and selected the appropriate interface. Still does not show up when I give the command in the terminal.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Sorry we do not do homework, all I will say is setting up a VM for any operating system is basically the same, , your problem is not with Linux but with the understanding on how a VM works.
