If you have Linux installed
1] what distro and build is it?
2] in terminal run inxi -Fnx , scroll down highlight and copy the whole section titled Network and post here,

Yes sir, but will try it again. Thank youThis was the one I was expecting to be in error but you have the correct Realtek drivers for your PCI,

I just did not know right off that I had 64 bit system to use. I just wanted to use what it came up with, if that makes any since, to use what would work.Wait a minute...
Is there any reason you're using an old version of Mint? Is there any specific reason why you're using a 32 bit distro?
Your CPU supports 64 bit.
The driver is also probably 64 bit.

The OP only has 2.0GB of memory and that is the only reason I'd see for running a 32 bit version of LM.Wait a minute...

Your CPU supports 64 bit.

OK, I will consider that. Will I be able to do a lot with linux mint Xfce? The OP only has 2.0GB of memory and that is the only reason I'd see for running a 32 bit version of LM.
I suggest dumping Linux Mint Cinnamon and using Linux Mint Xfce as it will not be so resource demanding.
