the reason i left windows was; i never used it in the first place, my first computer was a rpi 3b+ running rasbian (a fork of debian) and i just didnt leave linux and have stuck with it for coming up on 5 years now
i would recommend trying to do a custom build (if you want its up to you really) as that dell pc isnt amazing value imo, but its up to you

a lot of the distros listed in the downloads page are out of date, for example: blacklab, development stoped 6 years ago.
