Any apps that will mimic a webcam on mint ?

Guys, I'm looking for an application that will mimic a webcam, i mean play a video as a webcam, i used to use webcam max on windows, anything like that avaliable, I can't seem to find anything. Cheese wont do it as that just uses you webcam to take pictures and video which is not what i want.

thanks so much, got it downloaded, now how do i get it to show the video from webcamstudio onto the webcam ??????????????????

I think im nearly there but my limited knowledge is hindering my progress, so I downloaded v412ucp which i need to make the website see webcamstudio as a webcam, but i need to type something in terminal according to this but i dont understand it.

Anybody able to give me a dummies step by step guide how to do it. the website i use use the adobe flash plugin to enable webcam.
