Bluetooth mouse not recognized

My Plexgear BT 200 is not recognized. This is not a problem with my Plexgear BT 400 mouse (Running Ubuntu Mate 22.04.02).

is this in a solo installation or duel boot with windows?
if it duel boot then try disabling safe boot

This is a solo installation, and if I don't remember wrong, the safe boot is disabled.

Ok then try from the terminal

sudo rmmod btu
Followed by
sudo modprobe btusb

Followed by
sudo modprobe btusb

The answer:
rmmod: ERROR: Module btu is not currently loaded

sudo apt-update
followed by
sudo apt-install --fix-missing

Umm.......not exactly my area of expertise, 'cos we normally do stuff like this via Puppy's built-in utilities, but wouldn't

modprobe btu

.....in a terminal load the required module that the OP needs?

Just my two-penn'orth, FWIW.

Thank for your help. I have given the mouse to my daughter. She is running Win11. For some reason the mouse don't like Linux...
