So just copy the new one over the top of the existing one. Bash: cp /path/to/new/background.jpg /usr/share/slim/themes/<theme_name>/background.jpg Where <theme_name> is the name of the theme you’re currently using. You’ll need to copy the file as root, so either su to root, or use sudo.
