Hi,
I'm using a cups server 2.3.3 as a "print-proxy" between Chromebook/box clients and a SafeQ print server.
It looks like this:
Chrome client -->ipps port 631-->CUPS server-->lpd port 515-->SafeQ
On the CUPS server, job owner looks fine, e.g. [email protected]
On the SafeQ server however, it comes up as [email protected]
Only the first 32 characters are included. Is this a limitation in the lpd protocol? Anyway to get around this?
All users have a shorter alias on the SafeQ server, but then I would have to do some mapping on the local CUPS server and I'm not sure how to do that.
