Hi, I installed Ubuntu today and some things are bugging me.

I opened it after installation. It says.

NO SIGN OF OPEN CL OR ANYTHING ELSE PLEASE HELP.

Try running it from the command-line and see what errors you get, solve those errors or missing dependencies and eventually it should run. So running this the executable which should be located here during the installation.
Code:
/opt/resolve/bin/resolve

Thank you for your reply this is what i got. Please help. Same prob with vinci. GPU error

That looks good without errors when running the binary, I don't use Davinci myself but I did come across this.
If it does not display your GPU in the “Memory and GPU” section in the “Preferences” window, then either you have a very old graphics card or the Nvidia or AMD drivers do not meet the minimum requirements.

So I think the first thing you will have to do is find out if your GPU is supported by Davinci resolve.

I have AMD radeon R5 M330
It is showing nowhere.
All they have support is for Nvidia.

Try the other link I already linked, this one and also on reddit it's mentioned you need some part of the amdgpu driver.

Code:
sudo apt install xorriso libssl1.0.0 ocl-icd-opencl-dev fakeroot
I believe Davince Resolve needs OpenCLI Dev files to run
