I wanted to scrub a 256gb mSATA drive, so thought I'd use dd. I brain-farted it, and used if=/dev/null instead of /dev/zero. Since then absolutely nothing will touch it. The old partition scheme shows up in any of the fdisk variants I've tried. They all claim to delete the partitions, and write new ones without complaint. Reboot, old partition table is back.
Any suggestions before I toss it in the trash? It doesn't appear to be completely dead, just un-writeable in any way.
Couple more details...
Dist 'stuck' on the drive is Ubuntu 18.04.
Can boot into recovery mode using the drive.
fdisk says 'GPT MBR size mismatch....will be corrected by w(rite).
Then...failed to write disklabel: Invalid argument.
