Should we try to guess what kind of computer you have? What video card it uses? What distro you are trying to install? What you have done yourself to try to determine the problem?
A simple Google of your error might give you a hint... here or here.
A quick search returned that the message indicates that the OS is booting into a video mode (either too big or too small) that is unacceptable to the monitor.

Seems like you are still trying to boot into the installer from the installation media? When you boot from your installation media, press e when you see the menu to edit the kernel boot parameters, near the end of the kernel boot options(somewhere after "quiet" or a bit before) add "nomodeset" then press ctrl+x to boot.
