hey guys,
Running Arch.
This is more a question about gdisk. Why do we still need to format a partition after partitioning with gdisk, even after specifying a partition type number? Shouldn't this be something included in the process of partitioning? Hence the specifying? At least in the case of gdisk?
I can't think of a moment when a specified, unformated partition with a type number would be useful.
Thanks guys, again i get that you need to format after partitioning, just curious as to why gdisk doesn't just do it all in one go.
