I own a Dell Inspiron 5559 and am wanting to use it with a Dell D6000 docking station. I know I'm not the only one having this issue since I've seen it talked about, but haven't seen a legit solution. The Ubuntu driver from Displaylink seems to be .deb compatible but is not really. I've seen it ported over to the .rpm world, but the same intermittent screen blanking occurs, even after updating everything. The device works without issue under Windows 10, but I prefer any flavor of Linux over Windows, yet I must use it.
With this background, is there a fix to make to D6000 work without intermittent screen blanking with the native driver, or perhaps another driver designed to work with Linux? Barring these options, are there any docking stations on the market that will work with Linux, a laptop, and two additional monitors?
