i want to overclock an intel celeron in my linux kali 64 bit but in my BIOS the option to raise the GHZ IS LOCKED

Open the terminal and copy and paste inxi -Fxxxz and copy and paste the output to a post.

If you have a oem prebuild computer you are more than likely SOL.

Has Kali Linux got inxi by default? Or does it need to be installed?

That's a good question and I was unable to find out if inxi is installed as default or if it needs to be installed by the user.

You can not overclock Intel Celerons, the only Intel CPUs which are overclockable are the Intel core CPUs with an k at the end of their names.
