Good day. I recently upgraded to 21 which meant a full repartitioning for a clean install. once i had it set up, i wanted to replicate what i had on 19 which was my nuc with a NAS-ish usb where i have 4 drives as backup/file server. i had it set up where the nuc and all four drives were accessible from a windows machine without requiring a login. i do not remember how i got it running on 19 but now i have hit the wall it seems.
:frown:

smb.conf has the following as an example:

[sdd1]

path = /mnt/sdd1
writeable = yes
valid users = user, user2, user3
guest ok = yes
browseable = yes
read only = no
public = yes
create mask = 0755
directory mask = 0755

i created a folder called sdd1 in /mnt and i am able to see it from windows. When i try to open it, it opens to a login prompt for user. i try to use user's pw and it always fails. I had automount working as well by adding entries in the fstab file. That i can do later but for now, I just want to get my drive shares working. Sorry, i suck at samba.
