I'm thinking this may be an easy one for those in the know, I'm not in that group.
I have 2 Dell computers, a laptop and a desk top. The desktop has a SSD that is loaded with music. I want to be able to access this drive from the laptop.
Both have the same Linux Mint Cinnamon so it's probably easier than I think.
I never have been that savvy with networking, but I did see something about Samba being the cats behind for this.

If both computers are Linux, you don't need Samba.

Just do a NFS share.

Easiest way I've found is thus ....
Open file manager
Click on "toggle location entry"
Enter sftp://username@IPadress/ ( of the computer you are trying to share with )
Bookmark the result.
Do this on each computer.

Thanks...sounds pretty much basic to me...I think I'm capable on that.
