Hey there,
would someone be so nice and direct me to a guide or let me know how to install Linux on Pixel XL?
Idea is to make ideally "micro" portable computer ( / if possible phone hybrid), that can have mouse and keyboard attached to it. (I can deal with flashing custom ROM but not sure how to deal with Linux)
Alternatively i read people turning phones to little servers as well.

Pixel XL has reboot loop issue (gotta flash latest update once again as apparently Google messed that up quite often)

Specs:
Row 0 - Cell 0Pixel 4 XL
Display (Resolution)6.3-inch AMOLED (3040 x 1440)
CPUSnapdragon 855
RAM6GB
Storage128GB
MicroSD?No
Rear Cameras12.2-MP main (f/1.7); 16-MP telephoto (f/2.4)
Front Camera8-MP (f/2.0)
Battery Size3,700 mAh

Alternatively what affordable device would you recommend for this purpose? It can be aftermarket / re-sold device.

The only OS I'd run and do run on my Pixels is Graphene OS
Currently running it on a Pixel 5 and 6a.
You have to have the Google unlocked version of the phone to install ANY alternative OS on that phone as ALL other models have a locked bootloader.
If you're intent on running Linux on it, here are your choices:

Well that is something I am familiar with, so I have used Andronix (https://andronix.app/) on a few devices (Pixels/Samsungs) and you can run different Linux OS for mobile. Works really well either free or paid.

I recommend this as you can use a USB adapter to plug in a keyboard and mouse albeit with a wireless connection to a monitor or TV but it works and is like a PC experience.

There is also an alternative to use a Librem5 or PinePhone which are designed purely for Linux mobile distro's. I tried the PinePhone Pro with many different Linux OS's. Very fun project to try and not very expensive.

Hope this helps.
