Hi,

What tools do you use when you get new hardware to test "hardware correctness"? We got a batch of hardware and we want to put it through it's paces. So far the tests that I did run were:
  • memtest
  • stress-ng
    • Watched CPU frequency and verified that CPU's preformed at 99.999% of capacity
    • Watched CPU temps to make sure they didn't reach any warning levels and stayed below.
  • Used scrub to write to every sector on the disk with a DOD wipe and got no errors
  • No errors with smartd
Are there any other tools I can use that will put a system through it's paces? To be clear I am not expecting any issues but the client wants to document that all hardware is operating correctly.

@captain-sensible It seems that the tools are for benchmarking. Are there any tools that will give me a pass/fail to tell me if there are issues or if everything looked OK (e.g. temps were in range, memory looks ok etc.)

bunch of hardware does that include hd
