Hello, I have a problem that could be related to the audio system. I have the latest kubuntu installed. I have a headphone jack on the front of the PC. I then have a USB headset and a USB Bluetooth adapter to which I run a Bluetooth headphones. Because of the audio problem I use for a JBL Charge 4 not USB or Bluetooth but the rear 3.5 mm stereo port of the on-board sound card.
I have also disabled the on-board sound card at one point and installed a Soundblaster Audigy FX. Nothing changes in the problem. It's also a Linux-only problem, because everything works on Win 10.
Now for the problem:
No matter what I do, sound actually works right away. So YouTube video and then I turn on the Bluetooth headphones. Sound works. Just as USB headset or just the front 3.5 mm sound card connector.
But: As soon as the sound source is changed or even one is put into operation, the following happens. Except the rear audio connector!
Sound runs. The mouse cursor can be moved. But I can't click anything for a few seconds. The keyboard does not work either. After a few seconds I can open applications. Let's say a console. They keyboard works for some seconds. But then I can't type anything. Also not in the browser. The keyboard does not work. Also not the keys for volume up/down/speaker off etc.
This takes about a minute, then everything runs normally. The keyboard works again as if nothing had happened.
I started top before switched on the Bluetooth headphones. But there I see nothing noticeable.
So the JBL Charge 4 can be turned on without problems because there is no connection via Bluetooth.
But as soon as the audio source is changed by activating Bluetooth or by plugging in the USB headset or the front 3.5 mm stereo speaker, there is a problem.
Here are my cards:
