Both Mint and Ubuntu are good for a beginner. You can pick either but there are many other distros as well, you have freedom of choice with what you want to run when running a GNU/Linux distro. I would start by getting to know GNU/Linux and getting comfortable with how GNU/Linux works so that you have a basic understanding of how things are done under GNU/Linux.hi everyone, pls recommend which linux distro to install for a beginner???(to learn programming from zero: start from command line, pascal, then learn C, C++ etc.)
