I still don't see what you're referring to. I just looked back through this thread. The critical thing was to go to LPD/LPR host. Which response mentions that? Was it in a link? I'm sorry if I just missed something but I sure don't see it. I still wonder why Mint doesn't detect the printer as soon as it's loaded as it always did in the past. If I indeed am just missing mention of the correct information I apologize and thanks to whoever provided the information
