A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:

  • Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
  • Ubuntu 19.10

Details


It was discovered that GnuTLS incorrectly handled session ticket encryption keys. A remote attacker could possibly use this issue to bypass authentication or recover sensitive information.

Update instructions


The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions:

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
libgnutls30 - 3.6.13-2ubuntu1.1
Ubuntu 19.10
libgnutls30 - 3.6.9-5ubuntu1.2
