Has anyone ran VeraCrypt on Linux to encrypt either the main partition or one of the volumes like documented here?

I want to try this here on a volume. The problem is my Xubuntu install took the entire 2TB SSD and I now have to shrink it to create another partition or Volume Group (Running LVM2)

I use MX23.2 Linux XFCE with full disk encryption that I use VeraCrypt that I encrypted two of my drives that I use to backup to using LuckBackup. It takes time to set up but works well. I only mount those drives when I do backups and then unmount them using VeraCrypt. If you want to use one drive and set up additional partitions I recommend you use Gparted to do that. Then you can use VeraCrypt to encrypt.
