I just got my PC switched over to Linux. I would like to know if all data jack type of wifi gadgets (that you stick in the USB port) work with Linux or if there is something I should know before I buy one.
______________________________________________________I have two usb style wifi adapters that I bout from Walmart. Both work in Ubuntu with out having to set up anything.
Netgear WNA1100 works great and cost me about $30. I have not had issues with it.
Linksys WUSB600N worked great until I had a kernel update and then it would disconnect itself after 5 minutes. It was very annoying. I have not used it since then, but I will try again later with the newest kernel version and let you know if it is doing the same thing. I don't have time at the moment.
