I know my hosts.deny and hosts.allow configs do not affect how my hardware router behaves, but I would like someone to tell me that so I can rest a little easier. I KNOW it's stupid, but I have to be 100% certain.

hosts.deny and hosts.allow are part of the firewall which has no direct control of hardware.
